Believe Together
Investing in Children. Strengthening Families. Creating Opportunities. Sharing the Hope of Christ.
A Calling to Serve
Believe Together began with a simple calling: to build a bridge between people who want to make a difference and children and families in Guatemala facing poverty and limited opportunities.
That calling first took shape in communities surrounding the Guatemala City landfill, where relationships with local ministries and families opened opportunities to serve through feeding programs, education, community outreach, and other practical expressions of Christ’s love.
As those relationships grew, so did the vision. Believe Together became part of El Faro, bringing together a shared desire to serve the people of Guatemala wherever God opens doors.
Today, Believe Together is a ministry of El Faro, connecting people who want to give with trusted local partners who are investing in children, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for a brighter future—all while sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ.
At the heart of Believe Together is a simple purpose:
- Invest in children.
- Strengthen families.
- Create opportunities.
- Share the hope of Jesus Christ.
Education That Creates Opportunity
One of the primary ways Believe Together lives out this mission today is through its partnership with Colegio Vida, a Christian school in Guatemala City to serve children and families facing difficult economic circumstances.
Colegio Vida provides more than an education. Through dedicated teachers, biblical values, encouragement, and strong relationships, students are given an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
Believe Together comes alongside this work by connecting students and the school with people who want to invest in the next generation.
Become Part of the Story
Through Believe Together Student Sponsorship, you can help create opportunities for a child in Guatemala.
For $30 a month, sponsors are personally paired with a Believe Together student and receive 3–4 personal updates throughout the year—creating an opportunity to know their story, pray for them, encourage them, and celebrate their progress.
Your sponsorship reaches beyond one student. It also strengthens the Believe Together ministry and supports Colegio Vida and the educators who serve children and families every day.
- $30 a month can help open a door.
- Your encouragement can strengthen a child.
- Your generosity can create opportunity.
- And together, we can share the hope of Christ.
Together, We Believe
What began with a calling in Creston, Iowa, continues today through El Faro's Believe Together ministry and relationships that connect people across borders.
We believe God can use ordinary people, willing hearts, and meaningful relationships to create extraordinary opportunities.
- Together, we invest in children.

- Together, we create opportunities.
- Together, we share the hope of Christ.
